A good model explains a project faster than a set of drawings. At a trade-fair stall, a visitor understands a treatment process in a minute by walking around it. In a client meeting, a building model answers questions about layout and approach before anyone opens a PDF. In a project review, everyone points at the same thing.
AURO3D makes these models on 12 FDM 3D printers and 2 resin printers at our factory on Kupwad MIDC Road, Sangli. Our in-house designer turns your layout into a 3D model, we print it in sections, assemble it on a base and finish it to the level the display needs.
Models we make
| Model type | Typical use | How we build it |
|---|---|---|
| Water and wastewater treatment plants | Trade fairs, tenders, client presentations | FDM in colour and white, landscaped base, labels |
| Process and industrial plant layouts | Project approvals, sales presentations, training | FDM, painted, built in sections |
| Machine and pump cutaways | Exhibitions, dealer training, sales demos | FDM, sectioned, painted in contrast colours |
| Architectural and floor-plan models | Builders, architects, interior designers | FDM in white, painted on request |
| Small parts and fine detail | Valves, fittings, figures, nameplates | Resin (SLA) printing |
| Student and college models | Final-year projects, exhibitions | FDM, see college projects |
Example: 100 MLD water treatment plant model
This model was made for display at a trade-fair stall, to show a 100 MLD (million litres a day) water treatment plant with filters and a contact clarifier. It fits on a single display table and shows the full process flow on one landscaped base.
- Scale. 1:290 on plan and 1:40 in height. A single true scale would have made the tanks and buildings too flat to read, so the vertical scale was exaggerated. The scale ratio is shown on a sign on the model.
- Units. Filter beds, twin clarifiers, a pure water sump, a chlorine house, an office and store, and towers, each with its own name plate.
- Colour. The repeated filter beds and clarifiers were printed in red filament, so every unit is identical and needs no painting. Buildings were printed in white.
- Base. Roads with lane markings, a green landscaped surface and a printed perimeter fence.
- Build. Printed in sections, fitted together in our workshop, then mounted on the base.
The customer’s name is kept private. The photos above show the finished model and the sections before assembly.
How a model project runs
- You send the layout. A GA drawing, a plot plan, a DWG, a 3D model, or even photos of the existing plant. Tell us the event date and the space the model must fit.
- We agree the scale and detail. We suggest a plan scale and height scale, decide which units need detail and which can stay simple, and agree colours and labels.
- We model it in CAD. Our designer builds the 3D model. You check a screenshot of the layout before anything is printed.
- We print, assemble and finish. Sections are printed on our FDM printers, small detailed parts on resin, then assembled, sanded and painted as agreed.
- You collect or we arrange delivery. Collect free from our factory in Sangli, or ask us to pack it for transport to your venue.
What decides the price
- Overall size. A larger base means more print sections and more assembly.
- Number of units. Each tank, building and structure is modelled and printed separately.
- Detail level. Railings, stairs, pipe racks and small equipment add design and print time.
- Finish. Printed colour is the most economical. Sanding, priming and multi-colour painting add hand work.
- Extras. Labels, landscaped base, a cover, lighting and transport packing.
If you have a fixed budget, tell us. We can reduce the size, simplify units that matter less, or use printed colour instead of paint.
